About Me

Hello my name is Silpa. I am the premiere Irish dance photographer.

I have worked with world champions, professional dancers all the way to novice and beginner dancers.

Hello! My name is Silpa. I'm a professional dance and portrait photographer based in New York City, where I photograph dancers year round. My clients include dancers from all over the world.

I have combined my years of dance experiences and passion for photography. I bring together my years of experience working as a professional visual artist and my technical and artistic knowledge of dance and movement to create captivating dance portraits like no other.

My work is the story of my love for dance. My experience spans the gamut. I have worked with world champions, professional dancers all the way to novice and beginners.

My goal is to make every dancer feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera no matter their background, experience, or age because I believe every dancer deserves to have beautiful portraits to showcase their passion for dance!

I have worked with Riverdance and have been the cover photographer for Irish Dancing Magazine for years.

I am also a life long Irish dancer. I fell in love with Irish dance at the age of 10 when I saw Riverdance on VHS (yes I said VHS from the good ole days). I danced and competed in the US New England region through my youth, teens, and college years. To this day my love for dance has not dimmed. I am still guilty of listening to dance music like I'm jamming to a hit song.

I am an official photographer for Irish Dancing Magazine. My work has graced many covers and features.

The best part of my job is getting to meet and work with all my amazing clients!
